This year, Lakeland Care was proud to sponsor a mulled wine and hot cider stall at Ulverston’s much-loved annual Christmas celebration, the Dickensian Festival. Amid the twinkling lights, Victorian costumes, and festive cheer, we brought the warmth of the season to life—quite literally—with our delicious mulled beverages.
The event wasn’t without its challenges, as Storm Bert attempted to dampen spirits with blustery winds and rain. But in true festive fashion, our team stood firm, ensuring the stall was brimming with steaming cups of mulled wine, hot cider, and plenty of seasonal goodwill.
Proceeds from the stall were donated to the NSPCC, a charity that works tirelessly to protect children and support families in need. We are thrilled to share that, thanks to the incredible support from the community, the event was a great success, raising vital funds for this important cause.
The Dickensian Festival is always a highlight of the local calendar, and we were delighted to be part of it this year. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, hear the festive music, and share the spirit of the season—even as we battled the weather!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall, braved the elements, and supported the NSPCC. Together, we made a difference—and shared a little extra Christmas cheer along the way.
Here’s to more community spirit, warmth, and generosity in the season ahead. Merry Christmas from all of us at Lakeland Care!
